The water-resistant build keeps everything weather-safe, so your kit travels protected from a monsoon commute to a first-light mountain morning. Material: Exterior in hiking-grade 210D ripstop nylon and recycled 500D polyester — ripstop is the tear-resistant fabric used in technical jackets and expedition gear, and recycled polyester is stronger than standard polyester with the sustainability built in. Grey PVC-coated polyester lining wipes clean and seals out moisture. Padded main compartment for a DSLR body, extra lens and charger; front pockets for additional camera gear; water-resistant construction that handles rain and spray, though it isn't submersible.

Will a DSLR fit in the Memento?
Yes. The padded main compartment takes a DSLR or mirrorless body with a lens attached, plus one spare lens behind the removable divider. The interior is 31.8 × 20.3 × 7.6 cm, roughly 4.9 litres — measure your body with the lens on and compare it against those numbers.
Is the Memento padded?
Yes. It has a padded main compartment and one removable padded divider, so you can split the body from a spare lens or take the divider out and use the full space. It is one of only two padded bags we make — the other is the Point & Shoot pouch.
Can I use it as an everyday bag, not a camera bag?
That is the point of it. Take the divider out and it is a travel messenger — wallet, notebook, charger, a day's things. Nothing about the outside says camera bag, which matters on a crowded metro or in a market.
Does a laptop fit?
No. At 31.8 × 20.3 cm this is a camera and day bag, not a work bag. There is no padded laptop sleeve and no tablet pocket.
Is it waterproof?
Water-resistant, not waterproof. The PU-coated ripstop and PVC-coated lining handle rain, spray and a set-down on wet ground, but seams and zips are not sealed. For a camera body in heavy rain, use a dry bag or rain cover inside. More on the materials page.
