Choosing a bag for a trip
Think in layers. A pouch protects one thing and drops inside something bigger. A waist pack keeps your passport, phone and cards on your body and never comes off. A sling is your day bag once you've dropped the luggage. A messenger carries a camera kit plus the day's other things.
Most people travelling with a camera end up carrying two of these: something small worn on the body for documents and cash, and something larger for gear. The Detour and the Memento cover that pairing.
Weather is the other consideration, particularly in India. PU-coated ripstop will see off a monsoon shower and a set-down on wet ground. It will not survive being submerged, and we would rather tell you that than have you find out on a boat.

Will these fit as a personal item on Indian airlines?
All four are well within the personal-item allowance on IndiGo, Air India and Vistara. Cabin baggage rules change, so check your airline before flying.
Are they waterproof?
No — water-resistant. They handle rain and spray but are not submersible.
Which one takes a camera with a lens attached?
Only the Memento. It is the one bag here with a padded main compartment and a divider.
Which parts are recycled?
The 500D polyester is recycled. The 210D ripstop nylon is not.
